Strengthening Partnerships: Tanknology and D&H United’s Collaboration with Casey’s
Bob Cox and Derrick Junger from Tanknology’s Western Plains region have built a strong relationship with Casey’s over the years and a reputation for exceptional customer service and unwavering commitment to quality. Their initial focus on post-construction testing and advanced diagnostics set the bar high for reliability.
In 2020, Tanknology’s acquisition of Compliance Testing and Technologies (CT&T) opened new doors for collaboration. CT&T had been conducting annual core testing, containment testing, Stage 1 vapor recovery, and post-construction testing for Casey’s across several states. This acquisition allowed Tanknology to absorb CT&T’s responsibilities, expand its regional coverage, and broaden its scope of services.
By 2022, Casey’s aimed to streamline operations within their EPA group by consolidating testing vendors. In a strategic move, recognizing Tanknology’s proven expertise, Casey’s selected them as the primary testing company for 15 of the 17 states where they operate, covering nearly 2,000 stores. This decision not only reflects Casey’s trust in Tanknology but also the integral role Tanknology plays in Casey’s growth strategy.
Casey’s traditional site footprint was initially outside D&H United’s market area until three key developments occurred. First, Casey’s acquisition of Circle K’s sites in Oklahoma opened installation and service opportunities for the Oklahoma City branch of PME. Kyle Collier and his electrical team successfully completed electrical work to convert the Circle K sites to Casey’s standards.
Second, with the acquisition of Double Check, D&H United inherited service sites previously managed by Double Check. Although a nominal number of sites, this allowed Casey’s to experience the quality of service provided by Double Check branches.
Third, the exit of a competitive Gilbarco service company from Casey’s market enabled D&H United to take over hundreds of their sites in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Of particular note is Casey’s confidence in D&H United’s new branch in Omaha.
This strengthened partnership between Tanknology, D&H United, and Casey’s underscores a commitment to quality service and innovation and ensures mutual growth and success. The collaboration is a testament to the dedication of both Tanknology and D&H United to support Casey’s ambitious growth plans, reinforcing their roles as trusted partners in the industry.
