Located in northern Colorado, Fort Collins’ transport facility serves over 350,000 people. Kubat services, inspects, and maintains this bus facility and has also installed installed Light Duty Rotary 4post lifts (18,000 lb. capacity), Heavy Duty Stertil-Koni mobile columns (18,500 lb. capacity per column)) and a Stertil-Koni ECO-60 scissor type inground lift (60,000 lb. capacity).
The City of Fort Collins requested proposals to remove an existing inground vehicle lift, provide a new concrete slab, and to install a new Stertil-Koni ECO-90 scissor type inground lift (90,000 lb. capacity) located adjacent to lift that was removed. The new lift is to support their new fleet of EV and CNG articulating bus fleet. Kubat assembled a team of subcontractors and developed a proposal in response to the customer’s RFP and was awarded the project in May 2022. This project included all excavation, electrical and installation of new Stertil-Koni ECO-90 lifting system. This project was completed on time and in budget without downtime of customers everyday operations.

“From Bankruptcy to Forward Thinking”
The Hertz Corporation is an American car rental company based in Estero, Florida with over 3,000 stores in the United States. Although Hertz filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May of 2020, the company emerged from the bankruptcy in November of 2021 and has gone public again. In February 2023, Hertz stated that it plans to make a quarter of its total vehicle fleet electric, which is a major shift from the existing infrastructure.
As a result, the company is focusing their efforts towards making the EV shift. Thanks to a lead by Deon Dittlinger, we were put in touch with Hertz about a project at their Austin International airport facility. The project was to repair and refinish all AST’s, as well as adding a “Defueler”, allowing them to remove the fuel from the inventory of cars, back into the AST as inventory. The pictures below are of a before and after of the tank and the beautiful work of our San Antonio electrical and LDC team. As more sites prepare to do the same, D&H will be ready for those under our umbrella.
Alex Dodard, Hertz Corporate Project Manager of Fuel System Compliance said, “The guys at D&H United did an excellent job. This was a test site (for the defuler) and I was impressed by the craftsmanship of the work done”.
