VI. Customer Spotlights
In the last five to six years the construction industry has changed in many ways. Safety and technology have been a huge game changer. Some quick examples of this are digging tank holes with shoring. This has become a standard for many of our customers. I am proud to say that the construction guys in the West Region have learned, adapted, and safely installed different types of shoring equipment throughout the region. You can see in the picture that it’s kind of like building a box for the tank. Once we put the tanks in we backfill to tank top and start shoring extraction.
I’m really proud of West Region Construction team as we have SAFELY installed 41 underground storage tanks (USTs) and 10 above ground tanks (ASTs); and removed 46 USTs and 6 ASTs over the last year for a total of 103 tanks!
The west region consists of 26 construction techs and 10 electricians and a great management team. I’d like to recognize the following people for working together as a team and doing everything that they can to meet our customers’ expectations.
- Frank Norman – El Paso Construction Manager
- Zach Dennis – Lubbock Construction Manager
- Ralph Larribas – Albuquerque Project Manager
- Victor Jimenez – El Paso Project Manager
- Mike Foy- West Region Electrical Manager
Both Frank and Zach have done an awesome job managing their crews and meeting deadlines for each of our customers. Ralph and Victor are doing an awesome job coordinating in advance for an easier execution of our large projects. Mike Foy and his team have allowed us to better control our installation schedule.
