Chief Commercial Officer Introduction – Lance Althizer

In late February, I had the privilege to join the D&H United family as Chief Commercial Officer, leading our customer-facing sales and marketing activities.  During my career as a commercial leader, I focused on helping companies grow through the development and execution of strategies focused on the needs of the customer.  I am passionate about connecting the capabilities of the company to provide services that make the lives of customers better.

It is an exciting time in the fueling systems industry.  The transition to a multi-fuel transportation network, including electric vehicle charging and alternative combustion fuels, creates enormous growth opportunity for D&H.  Furthermore, the ongoing consolidation within our traditional C-store customer base aligns perfectly with our own expansion in footprint and fuel services capabilities.  Most importantly, we have the best people in the industry to install and service the complex fueling systems our customers will need going forward.

Over the past 10 weeks, Bo and I have worked together to align my priorities with the immediate needs and opportunities of the company and our customers.  Those top priorities include:

  • Understanding and improving our scoping, estimating and bidding process to ensure we are winning project bids at the best possible margins.
  • Establishing sales and marketing metrics to ensure we are achieving our growth goals and to guide continuous improvement in our commercial processes.
  • Develop and execute our strategy for EV charging systems to capture the explosive growth underway in this fueling technology.
  • Expand our strategic accounts program to grow our share of services we provide to these important, growing customers.
  • Drive immediate improvement in our marketing activities (website, social media, tradeshows, etc.) to better promote the great people and capabilities of D&H United.

Again, I am excited to be part of the D&H team and look forward to working with all of you to see the company reach its full potential during this exciting time of growth.
