East Region Operations Update – Marc Kirk
As 2022 comes to a close and we begin to focus on the new year I can’t help but reflect on the growth and success of the East Region. What began as the “I-35 Region” in 2017 with the merging of the DFW and San Antonio offices has been grown to a Region that stretches from the Rio Grand Valley to Oklahoma and from Arkansas to Southern Louisiana. Over this time, we have seen the technician count rise from 30 to 75, added remote offices in the Rio Grande Valley and Texarkana, and opened a brand-new office in Little Rock Arkansas in September 2022.
The secret to the success is really no secret at all. It is our People… Our people are our most important asset and one of the company’s key core values. All the offices in the East are different. They each compete in markets that provide unique challenges. They also differ in their customers and opportunities for growth. Although different, one common thread is the dedication of the People in each branch at all levels. People dedicated to each other, the Team, and our customers… and who like to have a little fun at work!
We have seen tremendous organic growth in DFW, Houston, and San Antonio. In addition, our greenfield expansion into Arkansas has been a huge success. This group was split off the DFW operation on January 1, 2022. This group of technicians under the leadership of Shane Jacobsen exceeded all expectations prompting us to open the Little Rock office 4 months ahead of schedule. Since the office opened in September of 2022 the Team has added two more service technicians, one automotive tech, a parts manager, and a lead dispatcher. I am looking forward to seeing what this group can accomplish.
Overall, the future is bright for the East Region in 2023. Having SMART goals will be key to driving efficiency in our processes to increase profitability. These goals include increasing First Time Fix, Tech Utilization, and labor margins. We must “work Smarter not harder”… and continue to recruit and add talented people to the organization to grow the business.
