Customer Spotlight – Dilip Gyawali

Balbir Bain moved from Tennessee to the Dallas- Fort Worth market in 2008. He bought his first store in Arlington and he has been in this C-store business ever since.  I first got to know Balbir when in 2009 when I supplied fuel to his store and he has been a great customer ever since.  Currently, we are building a 6-lane Truck Stop (see picture) for him in Alma, TX.   I am also helping him develop a few projects for him on other properties that he has under contract.  During the EMV upgrade period we took care of him by upgrading his dispensers with new card readers.

Balbir is a great friend of mine and has always been someone that I looked up to.   He really cares about his customers and the people in his community.  He has said to me, “Dilip, money and finance are not my biggest concerns when I do business with you.  What’s most important is creating the operable project and making sure that the project is finished on time.  It doesn’t matter to me who you work for because logos and entity names can change but our relationship is what matter to me.  You are perfect for my business because you go extra mile to get it for me and you are a great communicator. Now you are in perfect place with D&H United where I can utilize all my equipment’s need and service through you.”

Customer Spotlight – Russell Haddock

The Town of Frisco is nestled in the Rocky Mountains of central Colorado and located adjacent to Dillon Reservoir, one of the major water sources for the City of Denver.  The town operates a marina at the reservoir that required major facility upgrades.

The Town generated an RFP for the design and build of a new marina store as well as replace their fuel system with a new 2,000 gallon aboveground tank with one retail dispenser onshore and one retail dispenser mounted at the end of a 350’ dock.  Kubat assembled a team of subcontractors and developed a proposal in response to the RFP.  In March of 2021, Kubat was awarded the contract to design, install, start-up and train the town personnel on the new marina fueling system.

We designed the new marina fueling system with a Fireguard 2,000 aboveground tank on a raised concrete tank slab surrounded by protective pipe bollards.  One fueling island with a Gilbarco Encore 700S dispensers was installed near the aboveground tank for onshore vehicle fueling and another Gilbarco Encore 700S dispensers was installed at the end of the 350’dock for boat refueling.  A Gilbarco Passport POS system was installed in the marina store to control the dispensers and process EMV credit card transactions (indoors and out). A Veeder-Root TLS-450 Plus ATG system was installed with in-tank probe and sensors in all secondary containment sumps to monitor the fueling system for tightness and environmental compliance.

Addison Canino, Assistant Public Works Director, stated, “After being on site the second day with the Kubat crew (Taylor DelaRosa/Kaedan Tuccy/Devin Ornelas) I was relieved to know that I was not going to have to babysit this project.  I was very confident in the crew’s knowledge”.

And the best thing yet, after such a positive experience with Kubat we have been awarded another project for Town of Frisco!
