In this quarter’s news letter we asked PJ Kane, one of the founders of Valley Tank Testing, to tell us more about this exciting addition to the D&H United Family.

Brian Berkle and I founded Valley Tank Testing way back in 2004.  At that time the company was essentially 2 guys, one truck and an idea!  The idea was to outwork the competition and provide superior service.  We were lucky enough to get an opportunity doing some due diligence testing for Circle K stores right after we started.  That project turned into a contract with the Circle K Arizona region and we were off to the races.  Jon Bowen came on as a partner shortly after and we had the foundation to grow the company.

The “idea” seems to have paid off, as we now have 30 trucks on the road, over 50 employees and we test sites in ~40 states.  In 2021 we did just under 14,000 work orders ranging from annual compliance testing (our “bread and butter”), post construction, emergent response and also ~2000 inspections.  Like our employee and truck counts, our customer base has grown as well along the way.  We now have several other large chains like Murphy USA, Ryder, and GPM as well as regional operators and several municipalities.

We were very excited to officially become part of the D&H team back in November (has it really been 3 months already?) and look forward to the synergies and growth opportunities to come.  Teamwork has been a hallmark of our success over the years, made possible by the outstanding group of employees we have.  Now we are part of a bigger, stronger team and know the future is brighter because of it. No matter what challenges we face in this ever changing, dynamic industry, we know we can meet them head on and do it better than the competition, because our team is Superbowl ready!
