Good to Great
Renowned business author Jim Collins’ famous business book titled “Good to Great” addresses how a good company can become a great company. This is exactly where we are as a company. We are a good company and we have a desire to be a great company. This is the next stage of our evolution. We want to go from “Good to Great” as a company in 2021. You will be hearing more of this message and theme this year as we continue to grow and become a great company.
Last newsletter we spoke of our Core Values and how they help to shape our company. One thing that great companies do is continuously improve (one of our Core Values). We want to always look for better ways to do things and to get better every day. A good example of this was a recent session that we had where we mapped out some of our processes all the way from order to payment. In doing this we are reviewing how we do things currently. Our next step will be to get input and participation from more team members and then to look and discover ways to improve our processes. The pictures show some of our team members as they participated in this process. Thanks to everyone for looking for better ways to do our business!
Q2 Performance
Congratulations to all of our teams for a solid performance in our second quarter ending in December. During the quarter our business segments had good performance and we were able to exceed our budget. Backlog and outlook continues to be strong. Our near term goal is to continue our solid performance from all segments during the January-March quarter. Consistent performance and growth are some of the qualities that make good companies great!
