It was recently announced by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) that funding through the Volkswagen Fuel Economy Settlement for the installation of Level 2 EV chargers will soon be available. The goal of the program is to expand Texas’s growing network of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Here are some quick facts about the program:
- EV charger must be Level 2-dual port and offer public access
- Up to 70% or $2,500 of total project cost available as a rebate
- Open to all Texas businesses
- Application process to open soon
